VF 971.054 Metis Development and the Canadian West is a series of five booklets which examine the development of Metis culture and the role of the Metis in western Canada. Each booklet includes illustrations and maps. Book 1: Contrasting worlds is an overview of the Canadian West from the 1600’s to the early 1870’s when many of the Metis moved from the Red River area to Saskatchewan.
