Japanese Information Network - Regions & Cities
Features information, photographs, and related links for all Japanese cities. Can be searched by prefecture and by region. Clicking on the maps is the most efficient way to navigate the site. The Japanese page may sometimes load first and you may have to select the English version in that case.
Japan Omnibus - Geography - Regions & Cities
Provides general geography information for Japan, plus sightseeing information of major areas, regions and cities. Site features extensive information links to sports, history, religion, and politics of Japan.
Japan for Visitors
Provides tourist type information for traveling to Japan. Includes accomodations, etiquette, festivals, Kyoto, Tokyo, Osaka, some regions, history, sports, etc.
Regional: Asia: Japan: Prefectures
Provides varying amounts and qualities of information on all of the prefectures in Japan. Larger cities are well represented and include city guides and tourist type information. Smaller cities may only have a business directory.
Japan National Tourist Organization
Provides good basic information on all the Japanese cities and/or prefectures. A clickable map helps navigation.

Provides information on cities and attractions in Japan. Provides travel resources, accomodation information, sights to see, weather, etc.

Extensive site covering everything you ever wanted to know about Japan. Categories include: nature & climate, regions, schools, tradition & culture, international relations, politics & the Constitution, economy & industry, sports, daily life, history, protecting the environment, folk legends, food, and games.
