"Small" Advantages

Incentive offers a small community of 3 grades (about 90 students) and 4 teachers who teach a wide variety of subjects. Teachers usually stay a long time at Incentive because we enjoy the small community where our contribution makes a big difference!

There are many advantages to being small:

•Over three years we really get to know the students and their families.

•Multigrade opportunities offer role models for younger students

•parent/teacher conferences are done together (with all 4 teachers)

•it is easy to timetable the students (everybody is on the same timetable)

•it is flexible and easy to plan for field trips (we never require substitute teachers to cover)

2005-2010

Ms. S. Sharpe - As most of you know, Ms. Sharpe has taken up a position at Steveston-London which allows her to pursue her counselling career after 5 wonderful years at Incentive. We will miss you Ms. Sharpe!

1993-2006

Mr. Barry Hodgins - Barry retired in 2006 after finishing the last part of his great career with Incentive (13 years). The Incentive program was a great passion for Barry as he lead it through changing times. We miss you Mr. Hodgins!

2000-2005

Mr. R. Klose - Mr. Klose has taken up a position at MacNeill teaching History 12 amongst other things. He still remembers the great activity days we went on together.
