Just wanted to share this news with you, we were swimming today and Nicole started to get fussy so I asked Angela to ask her in sign if she wanted to swim more or finished. Nicole's response was she first signed with her hand that she was hungry or eat, I then asked Angela to ask Nicole to talk to her and allow Nicole to take her hands and see what would happen. Nicole took Angela's hand and took it up to her mouth (Nicole's) in the same manner she had for her original sign. So then Angela let her know that swimming was finished and she could go eat. Nicole respond by immediately standing and started to walk up the stairs. Pretty monumental, at least I think so! I was so excited to see it that I could hardly contain myself. She understood Angela's signing and chose something beyond what she was given a choice of and then initiated the signing.
